Expression of asking for information

Asking and giving information is an expression that we often use in seeking information in everyday life. This information can be correct, incorrect, incomplete or it needs to be more specific. Therefore, we should always verify it as a true and reliable source. In exchanging information in English, we may use the expressions of asking for detailed information, asking to pass information, finding out about the source of information, and saying whether the information is correct or is not correct.

Here are the expressions:

1.      asking for detailed information

ü  Will it be okay if I ask you...?

ü  I'd love to know more about....

ü  Can you add some more?

ü  I'd like to be clear about....

ü  Can you kindly tell me more about...?

ü  I really want some detailed information about..

 

2.      asking to pass information

ü  I'd be most grateful if you could remind him of....
